The Scenics- In The Summer (Studio Recordings 1977-1978) LP. Canadian underground pioneers are back with a new sizzling platter of original studio recordings from 1977- ‘78. Largely unappreciated when they originally existed between 1976 - ‘81 and after listening to these songs it’s pretty hard to really understand why. The Scenics meld Television’s guitar work with Big Star’s pop prowess, a little of Pere Ubu’s dementia & belt it out with Ramones urgency. A nice 12 song Reissue with liner notes by Colin Brunton.
