Unik Ubik- Maximum Axis LP. Unik Ubik are one of those rare bands that kind of defy classifying. They dip their feet in a few different ponds namely post punk, jazz and psychedelia, but they don’t really adhere to any of those genres trappings. If you’re a fan of those genres, you’ll probably enjoy this record. It’s pretty out there and after listening to it from start to finish all I can say is I dig their creative uniqueness and really enjoyed this record even though I can’t really think of any other band that they sound like. It leaves a unique impression for their unbridled exploratory madness.
