Dogends - Pure Hate 7”. Pure Hate is Dogends second release after their LP and these Oxnard skate punks deliver a great record here. This is fast and angry music, but the lyrics are silly and light which is a great combination I think. The classic nardcore influences are easily heard: Agression, Ill Repute, RKL, but it’s mixed with modern skate thrash sounds to create a record that absolutely shreds. While this isn’t the most innovative music you can find, it’s definitely some of the best new skate punk I’ve heard in a while.
