Dials- School Girl 7”.  The Dials are a Japanese band I can get into, meaning they're an actual punk band and not one of the legions of powerpop worshippers that’s been coming out of Japan these days. "School Girl" is a bass heavy ripper with some serious guitar action. It has a real cool '78 style punk sound with a great handclap part and a searing guitar tone for a Japanese band without Fink in it. "Nervous" brings us another shredder with a razor sharp guitar solo and an unbeatable rhythm section. The Dials make a nice modernization of the classic Japanese invasion sound of the Nineties. Recommended for those who still scour the Recordshop Base catalog on the regular. Looking forward to hearing more from this band. My only gripe with this single is I wish it were longer. Recommended.

The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs- One More Drink LP ~RAINBOW SPLATTER SPECIAL EDITION LIMITED TO 100!

Los Angeles' the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs spew a raw, undistilled slab of sweet ‘n nasty sonic tonic on their 7th studio album 'One More Drink'. The Cheetahs reignite the raw Detroit sounds of the the Stooges and fellow down under countrymen Radio Birdman blasting through 11 red-hot tracks of over-amplified nihilism showing even further dexterity in the world of thick riffs and song writing versatility. ‘One More Drink’ sounds like the good kind of mid 70’s pre-punk Riff 'n Roll record hopped-up on a heavy dose of classic 80's, white lightnin’ radio Rock. They mix an absolutely perfect Rock 'n Roll cocktail here...
