Cobalt Cranes- Freak Out 7". First 7" from this Los Angeles combo the Cobalt Granes and it’s a good one. They play tripped out driving Garage Punk with Psyched-out guitars. The first two tracks are speed Psych-Punk pounders. The first one is sung by lovely bass-player Kate and Tim handles Vocal duties on the rest. And the last track is more moody and reminds me a lot of the mighty Wipers. Good stuff that sounds like a combination of the Seeds, the Vaselines, Wipers and Sonic Youth. Recommended.
