This album is a nice detonation of powerpop, 77-punk with a pinch of straight up poppy rock ‘n roll. ‘First Gloom' is a really strong opener that pays its dues to the Clash with its ringing guitar clang, stop/start riffs and super catchy choruses with attitude. They follow with another half dozen bangers in the vein of 999, the Adverts and Protex. I love the dual vocal choruses that most of these songs have and theirs alot of sincertity in their delivery.
